Animal Cracker Science Lab

Science is fun...and delicious! We ended our lessons on ecosystems and habitats by participating in an "Animal Cracker Habitat Lab". Students were given a bag of animal crackers and had to sort them into 6 habitats - desert, tundra, forest, mountain, savannah, and prairie. The 4th graders had to use their knowledge of animals and their imaginations to specify exactly what species of animals they had in their bags. Some bears became polar bears, some grizly bears, and other brown bears. After they sorted their animal crackers, the 4th graders created graphs to display their data, and of course, ate their animal crackers!
