Math Project - Conducting a Survey

Our final project for our first unit in math was to collect data and create a graph representing the data. Students had to choose a variable to survey 20 other students about. Examples of some of the variables we were testing were "Favorite Candy", "Favorite Football Team", and "Favorite Color". Then the students had to choose 3 values for their survey. They surveyed 20 students and collected their data. Then the 4th graders used what they learned about graphs to make one that represented the data they collected.
